How old are you and when did you start skateboarding?
I'm twenty years old, started when I was in seventh grade
For as long as I have known you, you have always skated wide boards and have always been really good at transition. How did this come about considering Palatine park sucks and Euclid hasn’t been around since 7th grade?
Not too wide, I skate eight an a quarter boards, wish I skated wider ones. Easy with those words on Palatine park holmes haha. Our park is legit, we’ll take what we can get in that town.

Maybe it just seems like you have huge boards because your feet are so small...Anyway, with that in mind how did you become so good at skating transition?
Never thought of myself to be good at it, skating transition just always felt the most fun for me but I like skating other shit too, its all just skateboarding, as long as i'm on my board and not injured I'm having a good time
So what exactly happened to your foot?
well back in May I broke my ankle skating Palatine park. I was trying a frontside nosegrind on a little quarter pipe and slipped out all weird. End result was a snapped ankle. No insurance and my homies telling me it’s a sprain caused me to walk on it for a week. Then I got the cast and you all know how it goes from there. A lot of hijinx, filming the homies, and using the sympathy card on the ladies.

When can you skate again?
I'm back on as of 5 days ago. Actually just this week I did my first frontside grind and now I'm just working my way back to where I was, which isn’t saying much haha, but ya I feel like I'm back in seventh grade learning all over again. Took super long to heal because of the way it broke into my ankle joint. It's all good though, making progress, shit happens
And what’s the deal with the LPPX clothing line you guys are talking about, startin DIY and then turning professional on us? What ideas do you have for it?
Haha ya it's in the works. L.P.P.x is our crew, me and Taylor Caruso have been comin up with plans on making the clothing. We got all the standard skate wear. T's, 3/4 sleeves, hoodies, all the goods. I made a couple things all ready but its just low key, but who knows about the future. Keep a look out.

Well let me get an XL 3/4 sleeve! Aight Phil, where’s the next skate trip? Cali in January? I feel like me and you are the only ones who are always itching for the next skate trip, what makes you want to go climb into a car for a week with the bros trip after trip?
it's my homies that keep me jumping back in the car. I love it, theres nothing better than packing up a little honda civic with friends and driving to Gainseville Fl, or wherever. making fun of each other the whole damn way, finding the best way to annoy everyone, the typical 17 hour drive. Pencil me in for California and tell the rest of the slugs to start saving the dollars.
I think after this I’m gonna put up that video of you rapping that kid in Florida, you whooped his ass. What’s your all time favorite skate trip that you have been on?
No don’t put up the video hahah
Don't think I can answer that one, there all to good.....except for one. Trip to NYC was a hell ride. Dude I drove up there with left his wallet at a New Jersey rest area and we didn’t know till we got New York City. We drove all the way back to find out they had the wallet waiting for us so that was sick. Upon arrival back to NYC we got a boot on our tire, then a parking ticket, then got robbed of two cameras and footage. |

No way, I’m puttin it up. How did it feel to have a photo in Thrasher?
| no man for real I don’t want that on there at all. I was real psyched especially cause it was my first time in a real mag and for it to be Thrasher is an honor. Thanks for shooting it.

Speaking of Atlanta, what the hell happened on the way home? Danny swears to me that you were asleep, but I was also sleeping so I really don’t know what happened either.
Basically we did a backside 720 in a SUV across three lanes of traffic, through some grass and onto an entrance ramp. It was the snow, I didn’t fall asleep for shit. I started fishtailing and ended up spinning, I could see semi trucks comin right for us haha. Somehow we made it out unscathed.

Yea that was terrible to wake up to. Let’s wrap it up, what does the future hold for you and who do you owe some thanks to?
Just finish up my last two years of college and stay on my board. Thanks to F.A. Skates, the L.P.P.x, my family, and to you, thanks for the opportunity.
